God is Faithful!!* On May 16th, 2009, I broke my left foot on a slip and slide. As I was falling I could hear popping sounds and felt intense pain. I remember grabbing my foot and praying!! I prayed that there would be no bones sticking out of my foot! After a few seconds of laying on the ground holding my foot and praying, I finally got the courage to look at my foot, thankfully there weren't bones sticking out but I had never seen a foot so swollen in my life! It was huge and changing colors quickly! I couldn't walk, but I could cry and pray...so that's what I did! I went to the doctor on the following Monday and he told me to get to an Orthopedic surgeon as soon as possible. He even told me that it would probably be the Fall before I was completely healed...not exactly what you want to hear right before summer starts! He put a cast on it and I was sent home to elevate my foot. I wasn't allowed to put any weight on the foot. I quickly made my appointment with the surgeon. My dad went with me! to the doctor's office, where they took 9 different x-rays and moved my foot in all different directions (PAINFUL!). The doctor said, let's try a cast, but I may still need surgery! Surgery!...I didn't have time or the desire for surgery! :0) Thankfully God is in charge regardless of what the doctors say! We prayed for healing and quick recovery! I went back to the doctor, after 2 weeks in a cast and prayed that I wouldn't need surgery...I figured I could tough out a few more weeks in a cast, but surgery was not how I wanted to start my summer break! My mom went with me to this appointment and we prayed as we drove there for a good report and no surgery. After he took the cast off and moved my foot around, he sent me home in a walking brace!! No surgery needed, no cast and best of all, no more crutches!! God healed my foot above and beyond what I could have thought or expected! I was stuck on the no surgery part and He surpassed that with complete healing! I wore a walking! brace for 2 weeks and at my last appointment, I was told that I don't need that anymore!! I am able to wear regular shoes again! Well...I still can't wear high heals yet...so pray for that! :0) There is still some tenderness and swelling in the ligaments and tendon, but I can walk without any problem!! God is SO good!! My foot is HEALED!! Thanks so much for all those who prayed...I know that my healing is a direct result of your prayers. May 2009 God Heals! * I went to the Bill Johnson meetings,and Monday nite I stood up for prayer for pain in the right hip and for a fatty tumor in my shoulder. I did not even ask for prayer for my back pain I had been experiencing for some time..for some reason I didn't think about that. The two ladies who prayed for me were specific and prophetic which I appreciated very much. As the days progressed and I went through lots of physical and emtional stress at work in my job, I realized my back pain was gone and the hip held up beautifully through it all. I knew I had witnessed God's hand on me. I am still waiting to see the tumor gone!!! Every time I think about it I am just saying "yes" in agreement. May, 2009 * My husband, Mark, has a fingernail that has been messed up since college(over 30 years). It kind of was a double nail. Lately it had been really bothering him and he showed it to me Sunday morning under a magnifyng glass, saying that he was going to need to see a Dr. Sunday night I attended Sojourn to hear Bill Johnson and someone called out a word on a fingernail. I didn't call home because I was about out of cell phone minutes. After I came home I told Mark about the service and about the word. He didn't think too much about it until bedtime. He noticed it didn't hurt and looked again under the magnifier. It was totally healed. Praise God. May, 2009 * I have had dry eyes the past 5 years getting increasingly worst. Monday evening I had prayer and have been healed. Thank you Jesus. May, 2009

My grandmother has had damaged disks in her back which have caused her I appreciate Sojourn for daring to believe what some would call "strange" because miracles should be a NORMAL part of the Christian life! I also appreciate the teaching I am receiving such as Mike O’Rand’s message “Hope” and Terry Moore’s series “The Kingdom of God.” The Christian life is not boring. We will continue to see demons and circumstances bow to the name of Jesus. VICTORY is ours because of what He did for us! Ryan, 5/07
Word of the Lord brings health & wholeness!!* * Like the woman of the Bible who was unceasing in her determination to receive an answer from the Judge, I've prayed and sought prayer for years to be healed spiritually, physically & relationally. People were kind & so generous with their time & prayers for me! The healings still seemed beyond my reach. It seemed to me that I might be hopeless, not because God wasn't willing and able, but rather, because, I had stopped believing I would ever be willing to try again to be obedient. I’d tried & failed so many times before. This past Sunday, Bill Johnson made the comment that "Faith requires action". I’ve heard similar statements many times through the years, but this time, the comment was planted as an echo in my mind. Monday night during the healing prayer, I raised my hand for several of the issues that were called out. Little wonder, considering the way I’ve abused my body over the years. (I’ll be 49 next month and the doctor recorded my weight at 440 pounds just about a week ago.) I felt no particular healing during prayer, yet I felt that the prayers that night and the prayers that went before were all productive. I woke in the middle of the night and was talking to God, when I felt Him say to me that I have received my answer and that the healings are ALL mine, AS I am obedient to Him. I can tell you, my spirit soared! He didn’t say, "IF" I am obedient to Him….He said "AS"!!! God gave me complete peace that He is confident, there is still enough ‘spark’ inside me to rage into flame again! An assurance came alive in me that I will learn to walk in obedience and grow to the level of intimacy with Him that I desire….What an Indescribable Gift! A deep level of hope stirs inside me once again. As I write this, the thought keeps nagging me that I’m going to embarrass myself again when I fail again. God spoke to my heart though, and I Choose to Believe Him!!! * I attended the meeting on Sunday evening, and asked for the hearts of her brother in law and father in law to be open to the gospel. When she returned home that night, they were so willing to hear, gave their heart the Lord and prayed for the infilling of the Holy Spirit. The brother in law and father in law planned to attend on Monday evening, following their salvation! * Mike O’Rand called out people to come up for prayer who had lactose intolerance. I have struggled with that for about 3-4 years now and was waiting for that to be called out so that I could be healed. Cheryl prayed for me. During prayer, I felt a Holy Spirit tingle starting at my head and working down through my abdomen. I knew I was healed. We also prayed that food allergies to cheese, chocolate, and nuts that cause me to get awful migraines would go away as well. That afternoon, after my husband, son, and I went to a college interview, we celebrated by going to eat ice cream. I ate about a cup of ice cream and did not take any Lactaid tablets (these help with lactose intolerance). There were none of the usual problems after eating the ice cream. That night, my other son came home from a date at the Cheesecake Factory and gave me some leftover cheesecake. I ate that too and, again, had no problems with it. Throughout the week, I ate cheese and did not have any trouble with lactose intolerance or migraines. On Friday night, my husband and I went out to eat. For dessert we ate pecan cobbler with ice cream. I did not have a migraine from the nuts or any problems with the ice cream. All of the times I ate dairy products I did not take any Lactaid tablets. Then last night for supper, I had a huge amount of what was previously forbidden food: peanut butter. In the past, it has given me such a migraine that I thought my head would explode and so I have not had it in several years. Normally, I would wake up in the middle of the night and have to take medication for the headache that eating that many nuts would cause. I slept through the night and woke up without any headache whatsoever. Praise God, I am healed! Susan, 10/06 |
Reaching Out!* I was at Stonebriar Mall visiting a friend who was working at a kiosk. We began talking to a Muslim man who worked next to him in another kiosk and found out he had a large amount of pain in his right thumb. I do not remember if it was broken or something was torn but he said that he couldn't move it and that there was a lot of pain. I asked him, "Do you mind if I lay my hand on your thumb and pray for you so that Jesus can go ahead and heal you?" He said, "Sure." My friend and I both layed our hands on him and I commanded the pain to leave him in the name of Jesus. After I said that he looked at me and started to smile and while he wiggled his thumb freely, he said, "No pain!" He then asked this question, "So...this is what your God does for you?" We said, "Oh yeah!" and were then able to witness to him. I once heard a preacher say that faith is spelled RISK and that is exactly what happened. GOD IS AWESOME!!! Ryan, 5/07 |
Instant Healing!* Rachel prayed for a cyst I had on my left side of my chest and it was healed! She just prayed and it disappeared the same day! Amanda 5/14/06

Back Pain Healed!I came forward for prayer one Sunday morning when a word was given that God wanted to heal back pain. Within a hour my back was healed from the severe pain I had been experiencing from working at the ranch the day before. Praise God for His healing!

God Is Amazing!While traveling out of state I fell on my left shoulder, causing it to dislocate. The pain after having it reset persisted and it kept me from being able to sleep. I received prayer from one of the ladies prayer groups and then asked Susan Moore to pray for me. She said she felt really strongly that God was going to heal my shoulder. Two nights later, I said to the Lord, “Susan said You were going to heal this shoulder. Why isn’t it healed yet?” Then, as I lay on my right side I felt as if someone was rubbing salve into my left shoulder. When I rolled over onto my left side there was no pain. It was completely gone and my mobility was back! Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I am grateful for the openness to God’s miracles at Sojourn. It is a life-giving, spirit-filled church that has ministered to me greatly. I am now expecting to be healed of diabetes! Thanks.

I Could Talk!I am an athlete, (or at least I like to think I am!), so I know my body. Two weeks ago I felt a throat infection had taken hold. This was a major problem because I was scheduled to make presentations the entire next work week, speaking for hours each day to dozens of people. I went forward to the front during the morning service and asked for prayer. I felt nothing immediately, but within hours I was completely symptom free and was able to serve my customer with excellence. Thank You, Jesus, for healing me!
