Hey, do you guys remember this song? Give Thanks to the Lord for He Is Good. Yours? Oh Lord . Maybe you don’t remember it. You’re saying, let me, lemme try that again. You got how many Raise your hand if you remember that song. Okay. Cuz y’all scared me there for a minute. I could wrap it then. Then you guys would really be lost.

[00:00:24] But here, let’s do it again. Give thanks to the Lord for He is good and

[00:00:37] for he is good. He is above all things.

[00:00:44] Sing praise. Let me help you sing praise. Sing it. Sing praise with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Loving. Oh, there we go. for the life that has been reborn forever. Now’s sing it out. Sing praise. Forever. God is. That’s right. Forever. God is strong forever. God is with us forever.

[00:01:24] Forever from the rising sun setting, Son love, and by the grace of God, we will carry on. Forever. Sing it out. Sing praise forever. God is That’s right. Forever. God is. That’s right. Forever. God is forever. Forever. Aren’t you glad that he’s faithful? He’s faithful, he’s strong. And so that was a saying throughout the Old Testament.

[00:02:06] Vanessa and I are taking a class right now in our quest to try to get this, whatever this degree is that is plaguing us to the degree that I want to choke somebody is. But we’re studying about the hermeneutics of the Old Testament. And all throughout the Old Testament, there was this theme all there.

[00:02:26] There’s like a thread intricately woven into the fabric of the Old Testament and God. And what it says is the people would say, somebody would say, the priest would say, whoever was conducting whatever ceremony, they would say that God is good and the people would answer and his love. Forever. Let’s try that.

[00:02:46] Let’s try that. God is good. And it’s lovely to endure. And actually it would say his mercies endure forever. And so what you don’t understand is right, I didn’t know this, but you need to understand is when you read a test, New Testament, Old Testament phrase like that, and italicize, like the word endures was gonna read here in just a minute.

[00:03:05] That word is put there. The translators to help you understand, to help you try to understand the verse. And so it should read like this, that God is good and his mercy. You take the word endures out forever. his. It said, God is good for God is good, and his mercies forever. Try that with me. God is good and his mercy forever.

[00:03:30] Here’s what that means. That means that you could say endures because we need to understand that because sometimes we don’t want to endure, and so we need to know that his mercies are forever. Let me just take a little. Further and take you down the rabbit trail just a little bit deeper. And here’s what that says.

[00:03:45] That means that his mercies, no matter where you are, no matter who you are, no matter where you came from, that his mercies always are forever. No matter what situation you’re going through, no matter what. Thing that you may be coming up against right now. His mercies are new every morning and they go forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever.

[00:04:10] But what if I wake up in a bad mood? His mercies are still there. What about the situation I’m going through? His mercies are still there. What about all the other things that are going on? Not only is the mercies there, but. Is good. I’m telling you what, He’s so good. He’s so good. It’s hard to describe it sometimes.

[00:04:27] Our God is a good God. He’s a good God. He’s a good father and nobody can tell me that he’s not good because I’ve experienced his goodness. I know his goodness. I’ve tasted his goodness and I’ve seen his goodness and I know that he is good and his mercys do endure forever. Yeah. You hear what I’m telling you?

[00:04:47] Yes. Yes. Taste and. that the Lord,

[00:04:54] man, he’s good. He’s good. Your situation may not be good. Your situation that you’re going through may not be good. Some of you’re going through some things right now, you be like that ain’t good. But he is. Yeah, he’s good. Could I take, He can attest. You can attest to his goodness. Some teens are, He’s good.

[00:05:11] You like looking around. You be like, you looking at the nation, you looking at the news, you looking at all the stuff around and be like, That don’t that, that, that’s not good. But then when you look up, you be like, Oh, he’s good. He’s good. That’s why the Bible says looking. Unto Jesus who is the author and finisher of your faith, you gotta look unto Jesus and look away from the problems and the issues.

[00:05:33] You gotta look away from the situation. You gotta look at the look away from all those things, cuz you could get caught up in the weeds and looking at the stuff and focusing your attention on the bad problems you could focus your attention on the issue or the person or the thing or whatever it is that’s got you.

[00:05:48] And you think you’re surrounded, but really you’re surrounded by his grace. You’re surrounded by his goodness. You’re surrounded by his love, you’re surrounded by his peace, You’re surrounded by his goodness, and you realize, you know what? I got it made because he is with us. He is with me. Make it an individual, make it personal.

[00:06:04] He is with me. He’ll never leave me nor forsake me. Yesterday we were walking to a game. We went to Arkansas to see Arkansas play. They didn’t really play. They didn’t even show up. Anyway. And I looked around and I looked around because, there’s something Vanessa had just left me and I was looking around and all these people and I was looking for her, and all of a sudden, and she saw me looking for her.

[00:06:23] I she saw me, she was at the restroom. She saw me looking and I finally found her. And I’m just telling her like, who? I said, Where were you? She was, I was standing over here looking at you, looking for me, I was like, You gotta wave at a brother. You know what I’m saying? , I’m in Arkansas,

[00:06:41] I’m in Arkansas. I told her, I said, Man, if we get pulled over, you tell ’em you my parole officer. I don’t want nobody. I going to jail here, going to Arkansas, where the first language is. Who? You know what I’m saying? You know what’s going on here. She left me. You couldn’t even. And some of you’re laughing, but you feel that way right now.

[00:07:03] Some of you feel like God has left you. You feel like you’ve left. He’s left you alone, and you feel like you’re all by yourself in the middle of whatever circumstance or situation that you’re going through. But the promises of God are yes and amen through Christ Jesus. His promises will not fail. He cannot fail.

[00:07:18] He cannot lie. And when he says that he is with you, you need to. That God is with you. Not only do I say that he’s with you, he’s in you. Woo. That’s a good point right there. That wasn’t Even the notes. He’s in you. The Spirit of God rest rules in a bite on the inside of you and greater is he that is in you, that is with you.

[00:07:36] He that is in you. The greater is he that’s on the greater sand. The greater than side, the greater than sign is pointing away because you realize that God is a God that he cannot lie. He cannot. Fail and if he is in you, then he’s greater than the world that can be against you. Let him line. Ooh, as a Bible verse, though.

[00:07:55] A thousand followed my side and 10,000 at my right hand. He shall not come. Not me. Here’s another one, though I No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Every tongue that rises up against me in judgment, I get to condemn. Oh wait, here’s another one. His glory is gonna be my rear guard. Wait, there’s another one.

[00:08:13] My God, choke supply all of my needs according to its riches and glory by Christ. Oh wait, there’s another, He’ll give his angels charge over me and they’ll bear me up with their hands and keep me in my way so that I wouldn’t even dash my foot against that stone. My God will go before me. David said, By my God, I’ll run through a troupe and leap over a wall.

[00:08:34] Woo. That’s drop a tall building in a single bound. That’s not Superman. That’s the. Christ Jesus. He is a God that came and lived among us in all power, all authority’s been given to him and Im Heaven, and he’s given that authority to us to be able to walk in the victory. Oh, here’s another one.

[00:08:52] Thanks be to God. That gives me the victory through our Lord Jesus couple. We can do this all day through our Lord Jesus Christ because He is our God. You realize how good he is? Yes. So when I can sit up there and tell. that his love endures forever. His mercy’s endured forever. I mean it, Some of you surrounded right now, you seem you look like you’re surrounded, but you’re really surrounded by his goodness.

[00:09:16] Look around. I love that story in the Bible where the young man was like, They’re gonna kill us. We’re not gonna make it. We’re not gonna make it. Ooh. And Elijah said, Lord, open his eyes so that he can see that there are. Amen with us than with them. I stopped by to tell you this morning. There are more with us.

[00:09:37] Say that with me. There’s more. More. Oh, say it again. There’s more. There’s more. There’s more with us than with them. But they’re crying out and they’re saying things and they’re gonna turn this nation. It’s crazy. The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof. So when I say that he’s got the whole world in his hand.

[00:09:56] I’m not talking about just a little bit. He’s got the whole world in his hand. The Bible says in Psalms too. This ain’t even in the notes. I don’t even know what I’m preaching on this morning. It ain’t even a. Here’s what the Bible says. The Bible talks about this in Psalm too, that why do they imagine vain things?

[00:10:11] Why do the nations of this world try to plot against the King of Kings? If the Anointed one don’t, they know that I’ve anointed by anointed one is on the throne. Don’t they know? That the king is already on their throne. Don’t they know that the lots and the ballots have been cast in that all the votes have been in, and the King of King Long lived.

[00:10:30] The king all hell, King Jesus, the king of kings and the Lord of Lords, the one who created heaven and earth. The alpha the omega, the beginning at the end. The first and the last. He is the king of kings and the Lord of Lord. That’s my. That’s your king. He’s on the throne. You can vote if you want to. You need to vote, but I’m telling you that he’s the king.

[00:10:56] Amen. We need to be thankful for the king. Yes. Now onto the message. If you have your Bible, turn to Psalms chapter 1 0 7, Psalms 1 0 7. There is a running theme throughout the whole chapter. The whole chapter is divided into four sections, and it is that the whole sections, all this chapter is book 1 0 5 of through 1 0 7 of the Psalms.

[00:11:20] The psalmist wrote this, and here’s what it is. It’s Psalm of Thanksgiving. , One of the things that you know is it’s divided into, like I said, four sections and here’s what it is. This four sections has to do with captivity, had to do with healing them. and they were here’s what it is.

[00:11:38] Pictures. It’s four pictures. They were lost in the wilderness and God rescues his people. They were chained in captivity and God rescues his people. They were sick in near death. And it says that God rescues his people. And the fourth one is the peril of the sea. There are, and the last section of this chapter, the sailors love this chapter because it talks about being lost at sea.

[00:12:00] And then guess. God rescues his people. And so the one of the people that, that wrote us a a message about this book called it God to the Rescue because he does rescue his people. And we’re gonna read that and you’re gonna see the four times and the verses where the theme runs across it.

[00:12:18] And here’s what it starts off with. Oh,

[00:12:21] That is, We can stop right there for a minute, . You start off a Psalm going, Oh, then that’s an expression. That’s an expression that comes from a sentence that says, that’s just trying to express something. Oh, and you can say it several different ways, but it’s spelled the same. You can go, Oh, Or you can go, Oh.

[00:12:38] Or you can go, however it is just how you say it. But the soms is trying to get you to understand, oh, he’s expressing something and you’re gonna see that, oh, give thanks to the Lord for he is good for his mercy. You can take the endures out his mercy. Forever. Forever. Forever. Stay it with me.

[00:12:54] Come on, y’all with me? We just got you. Y Just test talk y’all this for his mercy. Forever. Forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Anybody redeemed in here? Woo. I’m gonna ask again. Anybody redeemed in here? I’m gonna say it like my mama said. His body redeemed in here. Okay. Oh, Vernon, I heard you over there.

[00:13:16] Yeah. Okay. Whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy and gathered out of the lands from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south. All the four corners they wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way. They found no city to dwell. Hungry and thirsty. They’re so fainted in them.

[00:13:36] Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble and he delivered them out of their distresses, and he led them forth by the right way that they might go to a city for a dwelling place. Oh, That men would give thanks to the Lord for his goodness and for his onerous works to the children of men, for he satisfied the longing soul and feels the hungry soul with goodness, those who sat in darkness and sat in a shadow of death, bound in affliction and irons because they rebelled against the words of God and despised the council of the most high.

[00:14:10] Therefore, he brought down their heart with labor. They fell down, and there was none to. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble and he saved them out of their distresses, and he brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and he broke their chains in pieces. Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for his goodness and for his wondrous works to the children of men, for he has broken the gates of bronze and cut off the bars.

[00:14:39] Of iron in two fools because of their transgression and because of their iniquities were afflicted. They were afflicted their soul, abor all manner of food, and they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble and he saved them out of their distresses. He sent his word to heal and heal them and delivered them from their instructions.

[00:15:05] Oh, Then men would give thanks to the Lord for his goodness and for his wonderful works. To the children of men, let them sacrifice the sacrifices of Thanksgiving and declare his works with rejoicing. Those who go down to the sea and ships who do business on great waters, they see the works of the Lord and his wonders in the.

[00:15:27] For. He commands and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves of the sea. They mount up to the heavens. They go down again to the depths. Their soul melts because of trouble. They reel to and fro and stagger like a drunken man and are at their wits end. Anybody ever been at their wits end? Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble and he brings them out of their distresses.

[00:15:53] He calms the storm, so that its waves are still, Then they are glad because they are quiet, so he guides them to their desired haven. Oh, That men would give thanks to the Lord for his goodness and for his wonderful works. To the children of men, let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people and praise him.

[00:16:15] In the company of the elders, he turns rivers into a wilderness and the water springs into a dry ground, a fruitful land into bareness for the wickedness of those who dwell. He turns a wilderness in the pools of water and draw land into the water springs There he makes the hungry dwell that they may establish a city for a dwelling place, and so fields and plant vineyards that they may yield a fruitful harvest.

[00:16:41] He also blesses them and they multiply greatly, and he does not let their cattle decrease. When they are diminished and brought low through op through oppression, affliction and sorrow, he pours contempt on the princes on princes and causes them to wander in the wilderness where there is no way yet he sets the poor on high far from affliction and makes their families like a flock.

[00:17:08] The righteousness, the righteous see it and rejoice, and all iny stops its mouth. Whoever is wise will observe these. And they will understand the loving kindness of the Lord. Amen. God is good. God is good. He’s always good. Again, your circumstances may not be good, but God is good. He is so good, and we need to be thankful.

[00:17:38] I’m not just talking about and thankful in a month. One of the things that I love, Pastor Church said this to me when I was, I’m talking about 19 years. I’ve known him, known. And Susan and him as my dad, my, my parents since I was 19, he say this all the time, We need to write a book called Terrorism’s because I gotta, I know a bunch of them.

[00:17:54] And so he would say this, We need to be the most thankful people on the planet. Yeah, on the planet. We need to be the most thankful. Why? Because he has done great things for us. Has he not done great things? Amen. And once you’ve tasted his goodness and you realize how good he is, even though there are things for us to complain about, do you realize that in the children of Israel when they came out of Egypt and they always, they would complain all the time.

[00:18:19] When you complain, it literally means the definition means to stop. You have to stop and complain. When it stops your walk, it stops. It stops your success. It stops you from moving forward. When you complain about everything anybody know, anybody that complains about all the time, you might know it’s. You can’t raise your hand because you’re sitting probably next to the person that’s complaining all the time.

[00:18:37] But I’m gonna tell you, people complain all the time, and I don’t wanna be around people that complain all the time. I wanna be around. I don’t wanna be around Eor on Winnie de Prove. He’s always just Oh no, Winnie, I don’t know what we going do. I’m be like, Tigger, we know what we going to do today.

[00:18:54] Tinker always. Now ticker always looked like he was either on. Y’all know what I’m talking about. Ticker always looked like he bouncing around, and he would always go behind the tree anyway. I’m just saying. I don’t know if ticker was on something, but he was always happy. I wanna be around somebody that’s gonna help me see not the half glass, the glass half empty.

[00:19:15] I wanna see the glass full. Not only do I wanna see it full, here’s what the Bible says about you. Your cup. Run it over. Yeah. Runs over and so I’m doing this. I want to focus on being thankful. God has called us to be thankful. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. One of the things I love about Vanessa is everybody else watching TikTok and somebody else is watching Facebook and all these other things or whatever.

[00:19:44] My wife is always pouring over recipes. I be like, What you looking at? She goes, I’m looking at some recipes and I love it because I know she about to try it out on me. You hear what I’m telling you? I know it’s coming. I know it’s coming. I know it. She’ll be at the store getting ingredients.

[00:19:59] I’ll be. You know what I’m saying? Cause I know she about to try it out on me. I’m telling you what, I used to be white and skinny. Now I’m black and

[00:20:10] I used to be white and skinny. And not rich, Never rich. Anyway, I wanna identify that my identification has gone out. But she started cooking for me and all of a sudden, and sometimes she’ll cook something like three or four ti different things be in the house. Just smell the smell. You can’t imagine the smells going through.

[00:20:25] I can’t concentrate. I be writing papers and stuff, and all of a sudden I’m writing and Moses dwelt among the people, and he had apple pie and fried chicken and all that stuff like, oh. Delete, delete, Delete. Because I’m smelling it right, because I’m smelling I start writing about your stuff. I could write a whole 20 page paper on German chocolate cake.

[00:20:43] I don’t even know. I know how to write about German chocolate cake cuz it’s Oh. So good. You hear what I’m trying to tell you. And so here’s what I want to tell you. She’s always trying out, There’s one time she came in, she goes, You gotta try this. I go, I can’t. I can’t, babe. I can’t. I can’t eat another thing, but bring it here.

[00:20:59] Anyway, I’ll just go ahead anyway I, because it’s so good and it’s good stuff. Here’s what I wanna tell you. If you are here this morning or you’re watching online, if you’ve ever tasted the goodness of the Lord, if you ever. That his goodness. If you’ve ever seen the goodness of the Lord, I know that some of you would’ve fainted, Some of you would’ve lost heart.

[00:21:18] Some of you almost didn’t make it, but you did begin to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Anybody know what I’m talking about? You almost didn’t make it. Satan had a plan for you. He almost kept you out. He almost kept you from walking in the promises of God, and all of a sudden God came and you cried out to him and he delivered you from your distresses.

[00:21:42] Anybody know what I’m talking about? Anybody know what I’m talking about? Or that you’ve been delivered outta the distresses because you look back on your life and I wouldn’t have made. That was a Lord. Oh, that was a Lord, and I know that was a Lord. Anybody know what I’m talking about?

[00:21:57] Yeah. That’s my first point. You begin to thank God for what he has done in your life. I’m looking at some of you right now. I’m thankful. Aren’t you thankful that you are not where you used to be? Yeah. You aren’t you thankful that when you look around you. I’m not where I used to be. God has delivered me and he has brought me out by his great arm and by his hand.

[00:22:21] If it had not been for God, I don’t know where I’d be. Yeah. Anybody know what I’m talking about? I don’t know where I, I don’t even like to think about it sometimes. You ever think about something that you be like where you be like, you know what I’m saying? That’s a different kind of old that’s Oh, you know what I’m saying?

[00:22:34] That’s not oh, that’s Oh Lord. You know what I’m saying? God brought me out and I was looking at something the other day where his Facebook and some of the old girlfriends and stuff that I had, I was. Thank you, Lord. And I said that, I go, Honey, look at this. These, I, that, that could have been.

[00:22:50] And she was I, the Lord, he blessed me. And I’m like, I’m so glad that I didn’t go that route. And she goes, They probably thinking the same thing about you.

[00:23:06] That hurt my feelings. I was not expecting that. I was expecting her to be like, But I got you babe. You know what I’m saying? They couldn’t get you, but I got you. She was like, They probably thinking the same thing about you. And I was like, You supposed to be helping to be the Gloria Lifter of my hair now.

[00:23:22] Got my hair down low thinking now I was cheering, now winning. I’m like, eor. Oh dear. I don’t know why she said that. You know what I’m. But when you look back, you can see you laughing. You look back, that God’s brought you out of a great trial. Now, some of you are going through trials right now and you don’t know how you’re going to get out of it.

[00:23:40] You don’t know how you’re going to make it. You looking at all the circumstances and they are screaming at you. They are shouting at you. They’re loud. They’re telling you’re not gonna make, It’s like the death dogs at the door of success telling you, not that you can’t make it through, and they’re telling you that you can’t make it.

[00:23:57] And they’re telling you that your marriage is going to fail. Your finances are. Fail your children are gonna be this way. Your finances are everything and that the dogs are barking. But I wanna tell you louder still is the voice of God that says that you are my beloved. That you are. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, that you have the mind of Christ, that you have everything that pertains to life in God in this.

[00:24:18] You’ve been blessed with every spiritual blessing and that heaven. Any places I have guarded you up on wings of egos, trussing the Lord with all of your heart, Lee, not to your own understanding. I have. I’ve given you everything that you need. I am with you. You’re going to win. You’re going to win. You’re going to win.

[00:24:35] You are anointed to win because I’ve called you to win in Jesus name. So you thank God for what he has done, and I’m telling you, you can thank God for what he’s doing right now. Amen. How do you know that, Pastor Chris? Because I know that the Bible says this. The Bible talks about the fact that he is working all things together for good.

[00:24:56] Yes, I do. You believe that? Yes, he’s working all things together for good, for those that love him and are called according to his purpose. But you looking around and you’re saying it doesn’t look good, even more so for you to thank the Lord. . I don’t know how you going do it cause I have no idea how you going do it, but I trust you and I thank you anyway.

[00:25:18] I thank you Lord, that son’s coming home. I thank you, Lord, that daughter’s coming home. I thank you Lord that my marriage is gonna do what? It’s what you called it to do, Lord. There’s a lot of zeroes and they don’t got nothing in front of it. There’s a lot of zeroes in my bank.

[00:25:31] Yeah, I can make a smiley face outta those zeros because there’s a bunch of ’em, because my bank account looks low. But I know that you own a cattle on a thousand heels, and I know that you shall supply all my needs according to your riches and glories by Christ Jesus, and I know that you’ve given me everything that I need.

[00:25:48] So I need a rejoice, make up a song, Lord. I’ll make up a song, Zip itty do die and bring some worship into it because I’m worshiping the one that is able to bring me out, and his promises are yes and named Amen through Christ Jesus. So you’re thank him for what he’s done and you’re thanking for what he’s doing right now, and then that caused you to thank him for what he’s going to do.

[00:26:09] I’m thanking him for what he’s going to, what he’s going to do for all that you’ve. Hi Will. Thank you for all that you’re going to do, for all that you promised and all that. You are the one who has carried me through Jesus. I thank you. Anybody know what I’m talking about? Yes. What he’s done, what he’s doing right now, what he’s going to do, and he’ll cause he, he’ll cause your hate.

[00:26:37] He said that in here. Those that. They were, he said, Oh, shut their mouths. All the people that were haters. You’ll begin. Once you see the goodness of God, you’ll begin to thank. You’ll be thanking your haters, all those that hated you and said stuff about you. I’m like, Why am I coming to this party? Why come?

[00:26:54] Why am I at the table? Because the Lord sets this table up. Did he? Yes. This is a table of my enemies. He said that he will prepare a table in front with my enemies. So have a seat. Have a seat. Hater. Have a seat. . Here’s a, It is a good meal. It’s fried chicken, collard greens and all kind of stuff here because we’re having a meal.

[00:27:12] Why we having a meal? I want to thank you because you didn’t think I was gonna make it and you didn’t think I don’t. Please don’t do this cuz some of y’all will. I know some of y’all are crazy. Y’all do. Invite some, invite your haters to a table. He his table. All of a sudden, all of those that hated and said stuff about you and said that you weren’t gonna make it.

[00:27:28] He’ll shut the mouths of the lions like he did with Daniel. He’ll shut their mouth. They can’t say it anymore. All they’ll be able to say is, this is what you’ve done for them. Look at God. Look at what God is doing. What? Look at what he has done. Look at what he’s going to do. If you he’s the same God.

[00:27:43] He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. So I’m going to thank him. I’m going to praise him. I’m going to lift him up. I’m going to give him all my praise and all the glory. I’m not gonna hold back my praise. I’m not gonna let the rocks and the trees cry out in my place. I’m gonna worship the King of kings and the Lord of Lord.

[00:28:01] Why? Because I cried out to the Lord and he delivered me out. Distresses. Yes. Some of you’re distressed right now. Some of you are in the middle of a storm, in the middle of a, in the middle of a, of turmoil and strife. I’m telling you, he’s faithful always, even when you’re not faithful. Some of it you don’t have to raise your hand, but some of it is a rollercoaster ride.

[00:28:35] You have faith some days and then the next day you just nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen. Nobody knows, but Jesus. You know what I’m saying? You make up stuff and it’s a roller coaster ride. Some of you last Sunday saw a miracle. I know he is watching, but my son, who’d been as strange, I hadn’t seen him in three years, came to church with.

[00:29:00] And God has restored that relationship. Travis absolutely restored that relationship. The miracle of God. Call me the day of the book. And you, I’m talking about we back and forth, trying to figure out stuff, whatever. We’ve had some it was, it is bad and some of you hurt me, hint about on stage, right?

[00:29:17] Be like, I’m praying for restoration. I’m praying for God to restore. I’d say that sometimes, and some of y’all didn’t know what I was talking about, but that was it. That was it. My son come coming to church, come and be coming with us and I’m telling you absolutely restored. You know what, We’re still pinching ourselves.

[00:29:31] My wife looking at me. She goes, Did you see that? I saw it. Only God can do it. Lynn’s what I’m gonna tell you though, I I was telling mom this morning, I go, I was thinking to myself, I was like, God, I never doubted you. I knew you were gonna come through. I absolutely not one time that I doubt you.

[00:29:45] I know who I serve, I know and who I believe. That he is able to keep that which I’ve committed to him against that day. Hey, that day was last week. . I know God’s good. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. You know what I’m saying? Y’all, y’all laughing, but you do the same thing. You do the same thing. Don’t try to act like a leave me by myself.

[00:30:03] Believe me by myself, . You know you be doing that. God, I never doubted you like a politician. I knew we were gonna win. , . Some doubted, some didn’t know, but I wanna tell you. I know he’s good. I know he is. You know you, you know there was those days when we see you in church and the next day you’re like, Oh, lock Jacob.

[00:30:24] I don’t know what I’m gonna do. I had hair. Now I don’t have hair because it’s going crazy. Everything around me is crazy. Lord, you gonna fix this? I hope you’re happy. You know what I’m saying?

[00:30:39] It’s a rollercoaster ride. You know what I’m talking about? But faith is that way sometimes. Sometimes you have faith, Sometimes you just Lord, you gotta carry me because if you don’t carry me, I don’t know what I’m going to do. That’s why I love the fact that he says that in your weakness, his strength is made.

[00:30:56] Yeah. Perfect. Perfect for the fact though, you know what I’m saying? His, your his truth is made perfect in your weakness. Yeah. Some of you are weak, and he goes, Good. I love it. I think God’s up there going, if they’ll just let go and let me get in there. I’m telling you I’ll do, I’ll take ’em greater places than they ever go on before.

[00:31:15] If they’ll just let look, turn the loose and let me get, Ooh. He loves that. He loves to go and show himself strong on behalf of his children. The mother, he, the nations would be like. Now, we’ve never heard of a God like your. Amen. Who acts on the behalf of those who wait for him? Some of you are waiting right now.

[00:31:34] That’s not this kind of wait. That’s not that kind of waiting. That word wait means to trust. They that wait upon the Lord. He shall, Come on, stay with me. He shall renew. He’ll renew your strength. They’ll mount up with wings as eagles. They’ll run and not be weary, and they’ll walk. You ever see an eagle?

[00:31:56] They’ll, when they and the storm comes, they’ll lock their wings and they’ll fly above the circumstance of the above the storm. I’m telling you right now, God will cause you, if you awake for him, he’ll cause you to lock arms with him and you’ll fly above the storm. Everybody else will be wondering. They go, Why do you have much?

[00:32:12] That kind of peace and peace is not the absence of problems. It is the presence. Of the prince of peace. And you people be like, you should have lost your mind. Be like, No, I don’t lose my mind. Why you don’t lose your mind? Y’all going to make me lose my mind. You know what I’m saying? Why have you not lost your mind?

[00:32:31] No, because he said he will keep you in perfect peace. Whose, who’s mind is stayed on him. We can go all day. We go all day. Look up on you have no scripture cause here’s you have the mind of Christ. Yes. All you gotta do is turn your attitude. Yes. Turn your eyes. Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look forward to his wonderful face, hand.

[00:33:01] The things hover will grow. Strange. Lead in and the. Glory and grace. Hope he didn’t forget about those songs when you were little. He didn’t forget about those when you were little and your parents were just like, you sang it. And he was like, I ain’t sang the same song all over and over again.

[00:33:24] Why we singing that? Then when you go through a trial and a tribulation, they come flooding back. Lord, I’m gonna turn my eyes up on you and I’m gonna give you thanks, Lord. I’m depressed right now. I’m oppressed. My, Oh, Im at my wits end, like it said in Psalms. I’m met my wits end. I don’t know what to do, but I’m gonna thank you because you’re good.

[00:33:50] I’m gonna thank you to have breath in my lungs. I wanna thank you, Lord, that I’m in my right mind. I wanna thank you, Lord, that I have a job. It may not be the job that I want, but I want to thank you, Lord, for the fact that you provide for me. I wanna thank you from my husband, my wife. They may not be. I think they should be, but I want to thank you for ’em anyway.

[00:34:08] I want to thank you, Lord that they’re still there. I want to thank you, Lord, because you’re good and your mercy endures forever. I want to thank you, Lord, that I have food and I want to thank you, Lord, that you’ve blessed me and I want to thank you, Lord. I don’t wanna ask you for anything.

[00:34:21] I want to thank you. I want to thank you. I want to thank you because you’re good. Yes, Everybody has something to be thankful for. Thankful for what he’s done, thankful for what he’s. , thankful for what he’s going to do. We’re getting ready to take communion here in just a minute. But one things I love about Vanessa she’s not in there.

[00:34:41] She’s helping the children’s ministry this morning, which she loves, by the way. She loves working with kids. She has five of ’em. , that’s what she says all the time. When we got married, I had to learn some things about her and she had to learn some things about. I’m from the south. I’m from, I was born in Houston, raised in Arkansas.

[00:34:58] Like I said, went to Arkansas game yesterday and she’s from New Hampshire and we met at Bible college. So there’s some things that I didn’t know and from the south, and she from the north, she just didn’t know, like she didn’t know. When I said things like honey, they’re cornbread and done in the middle, she was like, Oh, they’re cooking.

[00:35:13] No, that means something’s wrong with them. That’s what that means. That means something’s. Something’s not right. Or when I said things like, Oh, bless their, She’s You’re blessing them. I’m like, No. Here in Texas, when you say bless their heart, they mean they crazy. You know what I’m saying? and I had to learn some things about her.

[00:35:32] I had to learn. I had to learn. We just had a communication, not just that I’m black and she’s white. We had to learn some communication things like, here’s one of them. When she. You go ahead and do what you want to do. Don’t do whatever you want to do. I had to learn the hallway. She’d be like, Go ahead and do what you wanna do.

[00:35:52] Okay. And I would do it. And then she’d come back and be like, What is wrong with you? I’d be like, You say, Hey, go ahead and do what you want. What you want to do. Man, if she says that , don’t do it. Okay. I’m just trying to help you with that. Or Vanessa would be like, She would say this to me, mom. She.

[00:36:10] What did you just say? And I will repeat the thing I just said, knowing that she was giving me a chance to back out and retre, I didn’t know that. I didn’t know that, but I know now there are some things I didn’t know when I could see outta my other eye, I realize what she was saying. I understand now.

[00:36:30] Like my dad would say, I see said the blind man. You know what I’m saying? My dad would say stuff like that. So communication problems and different things like that. I had to learn his, I wanna tell you that God, even in the midst of the things that he’s communicating with you and he wants you to get his perspective, it’s all about perspective.

[00:36:47] Can you get his perspective? Because if you get his perspective, you’ll realize this. He’s good. He’s worthy of all of your praise every day.
